Under a week since this site launched, two prominent industry websites for banking and financial companies have reported the disappointment felt by us as Nationwide customers.
News coverage
Finextra (Customers cry foul as Nationwide withdraws OFX service) and the Financial Services Club blog (Things worth reading) [which has been softened since publishing!] have both written about the topic. Marc from Wesabe also spotted this and has posted on the forum there to offer the company’s support.
With over 100 messages posted about the issue (there’s a list below), we are still waitig for someone from Nationwide to either comment or email to let us know what it would take to replace this service. Alternatively, they could explain how much effort was really required to keep the service going.
Temporary solution for OFX
Ed Wilde has come to the rescue of Nationwide customers by creating a conversion facility compatible with Nationwide’s statements (their CSV files apparently aren’t formatted in the correct way for most converters). Not a great user experience but something for customers to use until Nationwide reconsiders or whilst they transfer to another bank.
Make your feelings heard!
